About the Role:
Central Security Service Bureau LLC is looking for a passionate and experienced NYS (IDC) Certified Security Guard Instructor to join our team in the Bronx, NY. Responsibilities:
- Deliver NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS)-approved security guard training courses in compliance with state standards
- Instruct students on security fundamentals, legal powers of arrest, emergency procedures, and professional conduct
- Develop and update curriculum materials to align with current NYS IDC training requirements
- Evaluate and assess student performance through examinations and practical demonstrations
- Maintain accurate student attendance records, certifications, and training documentation
- Ensure a safe, professional, and engaging classroom learning environment
- Stay current with changes to NYS security guard licensing laws and training regulations
Requirements:
- Active NYS DCJS-issued Instructor Development Course (IDC) certification is required
- Prior experience as a licensed security guard or law enforcement professional strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of NYS security guard licensing laws, regulations, and DCJS requirements
- Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills
- Ability to engage and motivate diverse groups of adult learners
- Highly organized with attention to detail for record-keeping and compliance reporting
- Must be reliable, professional, and punctual with a commitment to student success
